The Pierce College Raiders softball team took both games in their doubleheader against the Olympic Rangers, securing a 6-5 win in game one and a 9-5 victory in game two.
In game one, Pierce battled to a close win with Noelani Souza, Kayla Jarreau, and Taylor Smith each contributing two hits. Nola Reily and Hailie Mathews also added one hit apiece. Samantha Tungsvik pitched all seven innings, striking out five and helping the Raiders hold off a late rally to secure the win.
Game two saw the offense come alive again as Souza led the charge with three hits, while Emma Loera and Karen Cervantes-Macias each added two hits. Cervantes-Macias not only contributed at the plate but also pitched a complete game, striking out five in the 9-5 victory.
