Raiders Claim 89–77 Win Against Red Devils

The Pierce College men’s basketball team earned a strong West Region victory on Wednesday night, defeating the Lower Columbia Red Devils 89–77 to improve to 2–1 in conference play.

Pierce kept pace with the Red Devils, leading by 14 points at halftime. The Raiders were able to build on their lead throughout the second half, and kept the Red Devils at bay with balanced scoring and strong all-around performances to secure the win.

Mande Wanlemvo led the Raiders with a game-high 24 points, while nearly recording a double-double with nine rebounds. Wanlemvo also contributed across the stat sheet with two assists, one steal, and one block. Dylan Jay followed closely behind with 22 points, adding four rebounds, one assist, and two steals to fuel the Raiders’ attack.

Jonah Bell provided a major spark from beyond the arc, finding his rhythm and knocking down 4-of-5 shots from three-point range. Bell finished with 17 points, along with two rebounds and two assists. Isaac Norris was a steady presence on both ends of the floor, tallying eight points, eight rebounds, six assists, two steals, and one block. Ishe Kanhukamwe added seven points, two rebounds, five assists, and a steal to round out a strong team effort.
