Pierce Falls to South Puget Sound, 55-49

The Raiders battled for all 40 minutes but came up just short in a 55-49 loss to South Puget Sound on Wednesday night.

The Raiders led 21-17 at halftime, holding the Clippers to 17 first-half points behind strong defensive effort and control on the glass. South Puget Sound responded in the second half, outscoring Pierce 38-28 to pull away late.

Mande Wanlemvo led Pierce with 14 points, adding 4 rebounds and 2 assists while playing all 40 minutes. Ishe Kanhukamwe finished with 12 points and 4 rebounds, and Isaac Norris contributed 9 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists.

Pierce totaled 51 rebounds, including 14 offensive boards, keeping the Raiders competitive throughout the contest. However, shooting proved difficult, as Pierce finished 31.3% from the field and 10.0% from three-point range.
