Raiders Dominate at Shoreline, Complete Weekend Sweep

The Pierce Raiders capped off a strong weekend with a dominant doubleheader sweep at Shoreline on Sunday, March 22nd, winning 9-1 and 10-1 to finish the weekend 4-2 and secure conference sweeps over both Skagit Valley and Shoreline.

Game 1: Pierce 9, Shoreline 1

Pierce’s offense came alive early and never slowed down, tallying 12 hits in a convincing 9-1 victory.

Hallie Beers led the way with a perfect 4-for-4 performance, including a double and a home run, while driving in two runs and scoring three times. Audrey Deviney added a big game as well, going 2-for-4 with a home run and 3 RBIs. Brooklyn Crass provided an early spark with a two-run home run in the third inning, finishing with two RBIs, while Alosina Fuiava contributed two hits, including a double, and drove in a pair. After tying the game 1-1 in the second inning, Pierce broke things open with a four-run third inning and continued to add on, highlighted by Beers’ solo home run in the fifth and Deviney’s three-run shot in the sixth.

In the circle, Karen Cervantes-Macias earned the win, allowing just one run on three hits over four innings. Aspyn Evanson closed it out with two scoreless innings to secure the run-rule victory.

Game 2: Pierce 10, Shoreline 1

The Raiders carried their momentum into game two, erupting for 10 runs on nine hits in another run-rule win.

Brooklyn Crass delivered a monster performance, driving in six runs on two hits, including a three-run home run in the second inning that broke the game open. She later added a two-RBI single and a sacrifice fly to cap off a dominant outing. At the top of the lineup, Shelby Mason was nearly unstoppable, going 3-for-4 with four runs scored and an RBI, consistently setting the table for the Raiders’ offense. Hallie Beers added an RBI and scored a run, while Alosina Fuiava and Amelia Lopez each drove in a run to round out the offensive attack.

Pierce jumped out early with two runs in the first inning and never looked back, plating four more in the second and two in the third to take full control.

In the circle, Aspyn Evanson started and allowed just one run over three innings, while Karen Cervantes-Macias finished the job with two scoreless innings.
