Green River Defeats Raiders 77-55 in West Region Play

The Pierce Raiders women’s basketball team dropped a West Region matchup to the Green River Gators, falling 77-55 and moving to 0-3 in conference play.

Martha Jessop led the Raiders with a standout performance, recording a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds to go along with two assists. Jane Wanjiku added 13 points and was active on both ends of the floor, finishing with four rebounds, one assist, and a team-high five steals.

Malea Berridge contributed nine points, seven rebounds, one steal, and one block, while Tia Schanbeck chipped in eight points, seven rebounds, two assists, and a block.

Despite strong individual efforts, Green River was able to control the pace and pull away as the game progressed, securing the 22-point victory.
