Red Devils Top Raiders in West Region Match Up
The Pierce College women’s basketball team faced a tough challenge at home, falling to the Lower Columbia Red Devils by a score of 86-40 on Wednesday night.
Despite the final score, the Raiders continued to show effort and resilience throughout the contest. Malea Berridge once again led Pierce, delivering a strong all-around performance with 17 points, four steals, and three rebounds. Berridge remained aggressive on both ends of the floor and provided a steady presence for the Raiders.
Martha Jessop contributed 12 points and pulled down seven rebounds, while adding a steal in the effort. Jane Wanjiku was active defensively, finishing with four points, four rebounds, one assist, and a team-high four steals. Alicia-Ellalynn Soliai made her impact on the glass, recording eight rebounds to go along with two points, three assists, and a steal. The Raiders will look to regroup and continue building as they move forward in conference play.
