Raiders Earn First Conference Win with 66-60 Victory at Tacoma

The Pierce Raiders secured their first conference win of the season on Saturday night, defeating the Tacoma Titans 66-60 on the road in a hard-fought matchup.

Pierce leaned on balanced scoring and strong work on the boards to control key stretches of the game. The Raiders shot 23-of-77 (29.9%) from the field and knocked down seven three-pointers, while converting 13-of-28 from the free throw line. Their biggest advantage came on the glass, where Pierce pulled down 49 total rebounds, including 28 offensive boards that led to valuable second-chance opportunities.

Malea Berridge led the way offensively with 22 points, adding seven rebounds, four steals, and two assists in 39 minutes of action. Jane Wanjiku followed with 17 points, connecting on two three-pointers and going 5-of-11 from the line. Tia Schanbeck recorded 12 rebounds to go along with eight points, five offensive boards, and two assists.

Martha Jessop made her presence felt across the stat sheet, finishing with 11 rebounds and three assists to go with six points. Alicia-Ellalynn Soliai contributed five points and five rebounds, while Teagan Ofiara-Kline added five points off the bench.

Defensively, Pierce forced 15 steals and held Tacoma to 60 points, closing out the game with composure down the stretch to seal the six-point victory.
