The Raiders earned a big win against SW Oregon on Saturday, defeating the Lakers by a score of 4 to 2. Saturday's win advances the Raiders league record to 1-1-0 and an overall record of 2-3-1.
The Raiders fell behind in the match 13 minutes into the first half, but quickly caught up with an unassisted goal from Bryan Marin in the 21st minute. The Raiders continued to add to the score with another goal off the foot of Caiden Dodd (A: Ethan Shoemaker) at the 57 minute mark, moving the score to 2-1. Diego Barton (A: Ethan Shoemaker) scored the third goal for the Raiders in the 62nd minute, followed by Alvaro Veloso (unassisted) who scored the last goal for the Raiders in the 87th minute.
Chris Baez started in the net for the Raiders, before leaving the field at the 13 minute mark due to an injury. Baez tallied one save in his appearance. Ricky Ulloa took over as the goalkeeper, tallying three saves in five attempts.
