The Pierce College Women’s Soccer team competed in two hard-fought matches at the NWAC Friendlies in Salem, OR, facing Portland and Blue Mountain.
In their first matchup, the Raiders fell 1-0 to Portland despite a strong defensive showing. Goalkeeper Rylee Kline delivered a standout performance, recording 11 saves. Offensively, Pierce put seven shots on frame, led by Elena Iniguez with three. Alivia Kehn, Chelsea Avery, Teagan Ofiana-Kline, and Ruby Pearson each added one shot on goal.
Against Blue Mountain, the Raiders came away with a 1-1 draw. Rylee Kline once again anchored the defense with 12 saves on 13 shots faced. Grace Atkinson scored the equalizer in the 47th minute off an assist from Ruby Pearson. Chelsea Avery led the attack with three shots on goal, while Elena Iniguez recorded two, and Pearson and Jasmine Carrada each added one.
The weekend offered valuable minutes for the squad to continue building chemistry and refine their play ahead of West Region competition.
